This was one of the first times I took animal photos with my first professional camera, using a telephoto lens for the first time. I couldn't believe how much detail I could see with this lens. Everything looked amazing.

As soon as I took this picture however, the camera made its shutter noise (another new thing I had to deal with), and the pigeon looked up at me to see what was going on. So all its future photos had a different expression.
